This free museum is on the site where Ghandi was assainated. You can see the room he lived in for the last 140 days of his life and the possessions he left. The spot where he died is marked by the Martyrs Column. But this excellent museum is so much more than that . there are muti media presentations and displays on his life and on the freedom struggle relating it back to the events of 1857. We had not realised how much time was needed and could not read the half of it. Our tuk-tuk driver came looking for us we had been so long and he must have suspected we'd scarpered without paying whilst he was getting petrol.
