Our cabin was near the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias but it was closed for renovation -although how you renovate 2,000 year old trees I don't know, so we had to go to the Tuolumne Grove. The drive there passed some spectacular cloud inversions.
The trees here are about 2,000 years old but the pictures don't really show the scale.
The now dead tree with the tunnel has a picture of a stagecoach passing through it.
No cars lately but I am following events.x.
