At 8 each evening we are disturbed by a crescendo of drumming from the show at the Haveli on the next Ghat along. It is an old 17C Haveli being restored to house a museum and each night puts on a puppet and dance show. We went along last night. There were various traditional dances from different parts of Rajasthan starting with two girls dancing balancing fire on their heads and ending with a woman dancing balancing an increasing number of water pots, 11 at the end! There was also a rahter good puppeter and of course the music and costumes were dazzling.
