The Bund is the standout feature of Shanhai. Facing the Yangste river it is a row of Art Deco office bulings built by the big iternational banks in the 20s and 30s. It also has a flood defence viewing platform so that you can lookover to the 21st century sky scrapers on the opposite bank. Ther is abull by the same artist as the famous Wall Street bull and a wonderful feature on the inside wall of the flood defences. They have been lined with concrete sections comprising thousands of planting pockes and planted wirh abstract displays of bedding plants.
