LACMA

LACMA is typical of modern American Museums. Many pavilions separated by gardens and walkways, uncrowded exhibition areas.

One had little apart from  Robert Irwin's Miracle Mile (above) And some monumental Lego-like works by Chris Burden which I thought a bit of a cheat because they incorporated model trains but were static. If you are going to build something like that surely half the fun is to devise an algorithm for the trains to run .

Another pavilion had South East Asian and Middle Eastern Art,

 so Indian and Chinese chests

and Wall reliefs from Nimrod a la British Museum

 and ancient Iraqui pottery..

Then there was the European Art. I was happily taking  pictures of ex Blue rider painters once they had become Bahaus ,if that makes any sense , when the custodian announced no pictures beyond that point so no Picassos and Braque, no Pissaro, no Leger..
