Part of Wilshire Avenue used to be called "The Miracle Mile" because it had so many Art Deco buildings although it was rather more than a mile. Now "Museum Row" is more used for the part of it with museums. Some of the art deco is left in varying states of repair and some has been pulled down and sympathetic substitutes built and some pulled down and unsympathetic or monstrous replacements built. It was difficult to get snaps because they mostly had to be taken through the windscreen of a moving car.
