The other icon of San Francisco is the Cable Cars. They pass outside our hotel clanging their bells until midnight so we couldn't really miss them.
We had intended to visit the tramcar museum. We had been to Fisherman's wharf for lunch with a view
so we thought we'd use one to get to the museum. That was a mistake. The queues were so long that we had to wait six departures and were too late for the museum which closes at six so we just got off at the hotel instead. The Model-Maker is going to be disappointed again. We did however get a front row view of them turning the car.
The outside seats always the first to fill. To my mind rushing to sit on a seat with no safety (or worse stand) on the outside of a vehicle which is going to lurch going round corners bar is lemming behaviour.
Never disappointed with photos that have blue skies!!
