Santa Fe Botanical Garden.

Across the road from the museum plaza is the Botanical Garden. It is mostly gardened and run by volunteers although the landscaping costs must have been enormous. Santa Fe is over 7,000 ft above sea level and it seems that spring comes later in the year than at lower altitudes because many of their alpines were in flower. It had few visitors so we were given an individual guided tour by the volunteer docent explaining the complexities of water conservation in the desert and making us rather jealos of the range of cacti and succulents available. Beloved's ambition is now to get our yuccas in Taroudant to flower.

  2. I think you get abit more than 14" precipitation a year. Inspiring for our terrace though but I don't think you can get the range.
