Sunset Crater Volcano

Sunset Crater is a volcano which erupted c1100 CE. It is now a National Park. The field of a'a lava (named for similar lava in Hawaii) is quite awesome. Because in geological terms it is a relatively recent eruption it is well studied as to the recovery of vegetation in arid regions.
