The Devil's Rope Museum McClean




Another community owned project which was


 The Devil's Rope Museum is dedicated to the history of barbed wire which transformed the plains, or as Beloved put it, "a sort of mega-Enclosure  Act without worrying about the ""Act"" bit". There's a Route 66 section and a huge community hall for dances etc too.







So we went on down Route 66 past McClean's famous Cactus Motel





 and the leaning water tower at Groom,



 but we skipped the 2nd highest cross in North America and the replica of Christ's tomb after he had risen.
