Tonto Bridge

Nothing to do with the Lone Ranger. We followed the Hashknife Pony Express route down to Payson. Just north of there is Tonto Bridge the largest natural travertine bridge in the USA.  It is formed by Pine Creek cutting its way through a natural calcium carbonate barrier. It is now a State Park with walkways and viewing points.
