Sante Fe



I have wanted to visit Sante Fe since I was a child and somebody gave me a picture book called "The trree in the Trail" in which a little sapling grows into a great tree on the Sante Fe trail and when killed by a lightening strike is then turned into an ox yoke and gets its wish to see where the wagons go. Sante Fe was of course the end of the Sante Fe trail but it was also a stop on Route 66. Our first priority  was to find




American cheese in general is almost as boring as New Zealand cheese but the Cheesemonger had speciality cheeses with a bit more bite although sadly no imports.
Beloved had been a bit frustrated that one of the roads was closed but when I dragged him off to see what was happening he changed his mind. I suppose it's the R66 connection although I am beginning to think that this blog should be called "pictures of cars."

  2. I was wrong about Route 66. These are low-riders and are apparently a New Mexican invention. The first where built up the road in Espanola
